- If a message from a friend does not sound like them. It probably is not them. Delete the message and let your friend know of the message.

- If you click a link and are asked to log back into FaceBook DON’T. This is a common tactic to steal your login details.
- If you add people to your account that you do not know and they send you a message stating that you are in a video or pic etc then remember that they do not know you. This will be a virus.

FaceBook recently added a new shortened URL “fb.me” to make it simpler to access pages, profiles and groups.

As a web 2.0 consultant the first question business owners often ask me is “Why use FaceBook, Twitter and other social media for my business. We have a web site and FaceBook is for kids and isn’t Twitter like a web based SMS system anyway ?”.
